Social interaction is a major aspect of leisure lifestyle. This provides an easy way to make new friends in a relaxed setting! The participant once here, making it incredibly easy to have conversations with some of the nicest, most thoughtful people you have ever met, with similar interests. We believe that cultural and social activities can contribute greatly to a student's success. Social Activities give students an opportunity to make many new friends from around the world. Our club is in fame for the parties and other free time activities arranged for members, and guests are always welcome to become a part of all this fun and enjoyment. Club provides the facilities for sports, dining and all what one could imagine needing for a relaxing time. We arrange lots of different activities - some during the weekends and national holidays and others on the national festival and local holidays. This is the club where everyone feels welcome. Activities Activities in social and cultural services incorporate successful organization of small get-togethers in the form of IEEE's Student Boot Camps within the IIT Kgp campus at various departments where an overview about IEEE was presented which greatly increased interaction of experts of different domains. This was followed by celebration of IEEE's Engineering the Future Day on 5th September 2009 which really proved to be an encouraging one, attracting huge number of students. This was followed by a fabulous one day trip on 29th January at Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur 'dream child' of former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, where we had a huge crowed of professors with their families, young scholars and small kids and all took great interest in looking places where INDIA has test many great missiles than enjoyed birds safari and then some fun over clean beach of Chandipur after delicious lunch.
Small get-togethers and trips has brought big encouragement and motivation of moving ahead and bringing experts of different domains together so that they interact and bring novel ideas for developing technology and society. In future we aim to continue more get-togethers, parties, sport activities and short and long adventurous trips to bring industrial people, educational people and researchers close together to give our society novel engineering innovation. |
